I’m Wiwa Recart, a Puerto Rican crafter and ecology professor based in San Diego, and the creator of Echa Hilo.

My crafting journey began as a way to manage stress during my PhD and has grown into a personal project where I explore the connections between nature, creativity, and care through thread and paper ✂️🧵.
